After two years of hard work, many constructs and crystal trays, and several data collection sessions both in-house and at Diamond, Jemma succeeded in solving the X-ray crystal structure of an important RNA-protein complex... and at an amazing 1.88 Å resolution! Carrying on a long lab tradition - whenever a new structure is "solved" (i.e. when the backbone of all components can be traced) we have champagne to celebrate, and a figure from the structure gets glued over the label on the bottle. Our colleagues next door in Fred Antson's group also joined in the celebration. Cheers!
